OMG!!

I went to Canada in December last year and realized that if the scenery is awesome enough, you don't need skills to become a nature photographer. Here is proof.... my humble 3.1 megapixel digital camera image offerings :)

Lake Ontario... Oakville's view. The sun lends a golden glow to the trees on the shore.

AWESOME!

A museum in Oakville.

Was closed at that hour so could not go see inside, but a beautiful red brick building with artistic trees framing it.

A gaunt tree at Niagara - during winter, all leaves have fallen off leaving the spiny artistic tree.

Niagara Falls - Isn't this a panoramic picture- postcard photograph?
Unfortunately I cannot take credit for this one... my dad clicked this.

Another pretty building and strategically placed pretty tree near the awesome lake I mentioned earlier.

That's all folks! Keep watching this space for more pictures that I PROMISE I will click once I get a bit free from my soul-crushing gut-wrenching MBA schedule!

Will this be a sustainable Trend?

So... I am a big believer in the simple truths to be found in one-liners. Combine that with the fact that they are FUN and you have a winner, my friends!

In the interest of the online community (that never needs but somehow wildly appreciates useless knowledge), I will try to post some of my favorite one-liners. Dissemination of useless information may be my higher purpose in life, me thinks!!

here are a few... feed on.......

As Long As There Are Tests, There Will Be Prayer In Public Schools.

You never learn anything by doing it right.

You're not drunk if you can lie on the floor without holding on.

One reason I don't drink is that I want to know when I am having a good time.

When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

Once, during Prohibition, I was forced to live for days on nothing but food and water.

Flying is simple. You just throw yourself at the ground and miss.

I think crime pays. The hours are good, you travel a lot.

Quitting smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I've done it dozens of times.

Everyone has a photographic memory... some just don't have film.

A clever man commits no minor blunders.

Copying from a single source is called plagiarism, copying from multiple source is called research. (My personal favorite... puts things in context, don't it?)

Money can't buy you happiness, but it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery. (ummmm.... I want my misery!)

Oh... and did I mention I like green? :-)

And the title of my post has the buzzword that I predict will quickly be the next HUGEST cliche the business world has ever known!! yup... I am talking about 'SUSTAINABLE'!!

ciao,

Priya

My First Blog

For my first 'experimental' blog I would like to post the most basic of all blogging questions - "what does BLOG mean?" I tried (as most webbers would), to find the answer at Wikipedia, and got a definition - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog.

But my question still remains.... 'What does the WORD BLOG mean?' Would blogging be equally interesting if it was not called blogging, but say, 'scribbling' or 'writing' or 'putting text on web-page'? Would it be as 'cool'? Would I be here?

Well, I just got over with my exams, hence have a lot of spare time to kill... (as is evident, I'm sure!)... [My stomach rumbles indicating immediate need for nourishment... would I listen to my stomach's complaints sooner if it didnt 'rumble' but say, 'squeak' or 'murmur'? Hmmm.... the mystery continues!]
